The 46th annual Yampa River Festival is set to take place from May 28 to May 31, 2026. Organized by Friends of the Yampa, this festival celebrates the Yampa River with events such as kayak races, stand-up paddleboard competitions, a raft rodeo, and the Crazy River Dog contest. The main festivities will be held on Saturday, May 30, at Charlie’s Hole, located behind the Bud Werner Memorial Library. This event is free for spectators, though there are entry fees for participants.
Pickleball Open House
On May 30, 2026, from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM, the Steamboat Tennis and Pickleball Complex will host a Pickleball Open House. The event offers free pickleball open play from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM, followed by free pickleball court time from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM. Additionally, there will be free tennis court time from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM and organized tennis games with pros and prizes from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM.
